Spinel

Spinels occur in a wide range of colours, from deep ruby red to cornflower blue, amethyst purple and stunning deep greens. They have a Refractive Index of 1.74 and a hardness of 8 on Moh's scale. They are durable and are highly suited for everyday wear. Spinels are one of the few gems that are rarely enhanced by man.
